By accessing and using splendor.church ("we," "our," or "us"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

These Terms of Service apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use our platform for finding Catholic Mass schedules, Confession times, Adoration hours, and community features.

splendor.church is dedicated to serving the Catholic community by providing accurate, up-to-date information and community features, including:

• Mass schedules and liturgical celebrations
• Confession and reconciliation times
• Adoration schedules and prayer opportunities
• Church contact information and locations
• Diocesan and parish information
• Community Pages for parishes, ministries, and faith organizations to share announcements and updates
• A community feed where users can publish posts, vote on content, and engage through comments
• Schedule update suggestions submitted by the community to help keep information accurate

We strive to help Catholics easily find worship opportunities and strengthen their faith communities.

When you create an account with us, you must provide information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. You are responsible for:

• Safeguarding your password and account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Immediately notifying us of any unauthorized use
• Ensuring your contact information remains current
• The accuracy of any church schedule updates or information you submit
• All content you post, including feed posts, comments, and images uploaded to Community Pages you manage
• Managing Page content responsibly, including ensuring page descriptions, images, and posts comply with these Terms
• Any pages you create on the platform and their associated content

We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel orders at our sole discretion.

You agree not to use our service:

• For any unlawful purpose or to solicit others to unlawful acts
• To violate any international, federal, provincial, or state regulations or laws
• To harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate
• To submit false or misleading information about churches or schedules
• To transmit advertising or promotional material without our prior written consent
• To post spam, repetitive content, or misinformation in the community feed
• To abuse the content flagging system (e.g., mass-reporting content in bad faith)
• To upload harmful, deceptive, or malicious images (SVG files and executable file types are blocked)
• To impersonate a church, diocese, ministry, or official organization without authorization
• To circumvent or attempt to circumvent rate limits on posts, comments, votes, follows, or reports
• To use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to interact with the platform without express permission

We reserve the right to terminate your use of the service for violating any of these prohibited uses.

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create on splendor.church, including feed posts, comments, page descriptions, and uploaded images. By submitting content, you grant splendor.church a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, store, and moderate that content as part of our services.

Content Moderation

All content is subject to automated filtering and community-driven moderation. Our systems automatically screen posts and comments against a list of prohibited keywords and domains. Users may flag content they believe violates these Terms using any of 10 predefined categories (e.g., spam, harassment, misinformation). Flagged content is reviewed by our administrators, who may remove, edit, or take other action at their discretion.

Engagement Scoring

Posts on the platform receive an engagement score calculated automatically from votes, comments, and views. This score influences how content is ranked in feeds and is recalculated as interactions occur. Scores decay over time to surface fresh content.

Rate Limits

To protect the community, automated rate limits apply to all user actions including posting, commenting, voting, following, and reporting. Exceeding these limits may result in temporary restrictions on your account.

Image Uploads

Images you upload are validated for security. Only approved file types and storage domains are permitted. Dangerous file types (including SVG and executable files) are blocked. We reserve the right to remove images that violate these policies.

While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information about Mass schedules and church services, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of all information on our platform.

Important: Always confirm schedules directly with the church before attending services, as schedules may change due to special liturgical seasons, holidays, or unexpected circumstances.

We are not responsible for any inconvenience or disappointment caused by inaccurate schedule information.

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our service. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time through the consent banner or by visiting our Cookie Policy. We implement Google Consent Mode v2, which means analytics and advertising data is only collected after you give your explicit consent.
