St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, located in Shelton, Connecticut, is a Catholic parish in the Diocese of Bridgeport. Established in 1963 by Most Reverend Walter W. Curtis, the parish was dedicated to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, whose feast day is celebrated on October 16th. In its early years, the first Mass was held in the gymnasium of Sunnyside School, and the new church officially opened in September 1964, shortly before the Saint Margaret Mary Parochial School commenced operations.
