HomeSt. Peter (St. Francis Parish) is a Catholic parish located in New Britain, Connecticut. Established in 1942 by the Reverend James K. Brophy, it was formed as the ninth parish from St. Mary’s Church. The parish experienced rapid growth, leading to the completion of its upper church in 1956, which accommodates around 700 people and features stained glass windows representing the Fruits of the Holy Spirit and the Ten Commandments. St. Francis School, opened in September 1963, has educated over 2,500 students before merging with Pope John Paul II School in 2006.
