St. Boniface is a Catholic parish located in Edwardsville, Illinois. Established in 1869 under the leadership of Rev. Anton Rustige, the parish was formed to serve German Catholics in the area. The cornerstone of the church was laid on June 2, 1869, and it was officially dedicated in August 1873, following significant contributions to both the church and the community during its early years, including a bequest from Rev. Rustige of $1,000 upon his passing in 1874.
