HomeSt. John of God is a Catholic parish located in Somerset, Massachusetts. Founded in the late 1920s, the parish has its origins when Rev. August Leal Furtado celebrated Mass in various locations, including a garage and the Old Town Hall, with the first church building dedicated in 1930 by the Most Reverend James E. Cassidy. The parish offers a range of ministries, including faith formation for grades 1-7, a Food Pantry and Meal Ministry, and numerous adult formation opportunities such as Bible Study and the Light of the World Retreat.
