HomeSacred Heart is a Catholic parish located in Sandgate, Queensland. The parish was established in 1881 with the opening of a small brick church, which has since been refurbished to serve as the office of the Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School. The current Sacred Heart Church was opened in 1892, and the Sisters of Mercy founded Sacred Heart Primary School in 1893, expanding its offerings to include secondary education shortly thereafter.
