HomeOur Lady Help of Christians and St. Oswald is a Catholic parish located in Oswestry, England. This parish traces its roots back to 1839, when Father John Collins celebrated the first Roman Catholic Mass in Oswestry at the White Lion Inn. In 1890, the church was consecrated by Bishop Edmund Knight after generous donations from Thomas and Mary Frances Longueville, who provided land for the construction of a dedicated church, priest’s house, convent, and school on Upper Brook Street.
