HomeOur Lady of the Assumption is a Catholic parish located in Fairfield, Connecticut. Founded as a mission from St. Thomas Parish, the parish began its history when Rev. William J. Blake celebrated the first Mass in August 1921. It was formally organized on January 31, 1922, and became a parish with a resident pastor, Rev. John A. Sullivan, the following year. The parish boasts over 1,500 registered families and offers a variety of ministries, including the Sisters in Faith and the Knights of Columbus, along with charitable partnerships such as Operation Hope and the Bridgeport Rescue Mission.
