HomeOur Lady of the Lake, located in Southwick, Massachusetts, is a Catholic parish founded on January 29, 1945. The parish was established when Fr. James Kirby announced the construction of a church, which began in September 1947 on land donated by Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Keenan Sr. The first Mass was celebrated in the basement church by Easter 1948, and the parish became independent from St. Mary's Church in Westfield on June 24, 1951, with Fr. Thomas A. Shea appointed as its first priest-in-charge. The current mission is to "seek to have a living faith in Jesus Christ, nourished by the Eucharist and guided by the Holy Spirit," while offering support and guidance to the community.
