Our Lady of Guadalupe Friary, located in Griswold, Connecticut, is a Catholic parish established by the Franciscans of the Immaculate. The friary, which serves as a center for Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration, was formally consecrated on August 25, 2001, by Bishop Hart. Its construction was initiated in 1993 with contributions from local benefactors, and the new church replaced an earlier structure built by Presbyterians in 1853, which was later renovated and consecrated by the local parish of the Immaculate Conception in 1909. The friary community is dedicated to living a life of total consecration to the Immaculate Virgin, embodying the spirit of prayer, penance, and poverty.
