English Martyrs is a Catholic parish located in York, England. Opened in 1932, it is the largest Catholic church in the city and is dedicated to the Martyrs of England, housing many of their relics, including the jawbone of Blessed Nicholas Postgate and a small portion of Thomas More’s hat. The parish's history dates back to 1882 and became part of the Diocese of Middlesbrough in 1982, the same year Pope John Paul II visited during his pastoral visit to Great Britain.
