The parish originally held Mass at St. Patrick Hall until the new church on Robbins Street was dedicated on November 30, 1911, following a public ceremony with 10,000 attendees. Over the years, Blessed Sacrament has developed various parish societies and educational initiatives, notably establishing a parochial school dedicated on April 24, 1956, which was staffed by the Sisters of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis.
